Moving Profiles from FF47.0.1 to latest FF possible?

I am using FF 47.0.1. on my Win7 computer and I used MozBackup to backup my profile and related data that it can backup.

Can I use this backup and install it on a Win10 system that has the latest version of FF?

I want a seamless transition from my Win7 desktop to a Win10 laptop. But wasn't sure the best way to go out it, or if it's possible etc etc.

If you don't have any current profiles on your Win10 machine, you can just copy the whole "Mozilla" folder (in the path below) from your Win7 machine to your Win10 machine. Both machines will now have the same FX setup. The profile from your Win7 should work on your Win10 with the current FX.

I installed the latest version of FF onto the Win10 machine, but that's it, I haven't moved any info over. So I can just copy/replace the folder listed above, that's it? I thought for sure there was more...

That's correct. Make a backup of the default "Mozilla" folder just in case, but you should be good-to-go.
