I saw that it was just released.
Thanks.
Pity that "they" didn't update the other "Full versions" page.

Change the zoom level for the domain being displayed back to 100%. That indicator only shows when it was changed from 100%, otherwise it's not there.

Although if you are asking about hiding that 'indicator' altogether, I don't see a pref for that in about:config. I imagine that userChrome.css code can hide it, but someone needs to some up with the code for that element - beyond my skills to discover the applicable code.

Ignore the UA I posted here with. I have multiple versions of Firefox installed.

A mind is a terrible thing to waste. Mine has wandered off and I'm out looking for it.

More idiotic junk in an already ridiculously cluttered Location Bar.
Thanks to Aris it's already removable with CTR. (Location Bar Page 1)
@AFAIK, after all these years, without an Extension or about:config tweak Fx STILL doesn't have a default zoom level that 'sticks' ](*,)

For me... it appears to 'stick' per site.

Er that's NOT a default 'global' zoom setting, and only remains if when clearing crap one doesn't check Site Preferences.

@You really don't need to quote every post you're replying to.

Is this better? :-)

I don't have a 'default zoom' setting myself. Nor do I need one. It is rare that I come across a site with a font too small for me to read.

Perhaps you should request this as an enhancement? Or maybe the CTR developer since his extension changes so much anyway?

I believe that mightyglydd already stated that controlling that zoom-junk was already built into CTR... up there in his post n....Posted Yesterday, 9:53 am

I don't use CTR so I have no idea what it does and does not do exactly but as I understood him to mean that there was no *default* setting for all sites and that was what he wanted.

And to repeat what I wrote the default Firefox, without an extension, remembers the zoom setting per site. It does for me anyway.

Fair enough?

I think I have found a solution via UserChrome.css

Would appreciate it if someone could test this.

Add the following to Userchrome.css

Code: Select all

#urlbar-zoom-button  { display: none !important; }
