Are there benefits for moving from 32 to 64 bit

Same with 64-bit Firefox including the Win64 Firefox also. To use other Plugins besides the Flash Player you can use the then Firefox 52.0 ESR channel builds. For Win64 it will be the same two Plugins as in Flash Player and Silverlight.

You would think that 32bit FX would still support 32bit plugins on a 32bit system, it's all 32bit! Oh well, things change and I can work around it. I'm an old curmudgeon and don't like change. Go with the flow, is what I'm going to have to do. Thanks for the input. I'll manage.

win64 Firefox very rarely crashes on the x64 based Windows OSes that I'm using

I've been using the 64 bit version for about 3 weeks now. So far so good. It did crash one time and threw up the Crash Reporter (which you cannot opt out of anymore). Other than that one time, it's been running pretty smoothly.

Just a FYI... If I'm remembering correctly ... and after reviewing my about:crashes... I've has zero crashes since I updated to the 64bit... and that took place about a month after its release.
