I am trying to install "Last Pass" password management software for firefox and I keep getting the message "the add-on could not be downloaded because of a connection failure".
I have tried rebooting and many other things. I have used firefox for years and love it but all of the websites with passwords that I want to manage I get to from firefox.
Can you help please?
Windows 8.1 - Firefox 51.0.1 32 bit
thanks much
bruce

Are you trying to install that extension from this site -- https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... d-manager/

Re: trying to install "Last Pass" password management
thank you, that worked but now I get error when I try to import: "An error was encountered : ReferenceError: g_local_accts_version is not defined"
Perhaps this error is not a firefox problem but I am new to "Last Pass".

This should solve your first question:

The second error message seems to occur in all browsers - apparently no solution as yet?

It would help to know what version of LastPass you're trying to install and also where from. LastPass 4 for Firefox is still buggy - it's not approved on AMO and shows up under the development channel only in Dan's link above.
My suggestion would be to download the universal Windows installer from the LastPass site, which will add LastPass to all your browsers in one go.
https://lastpass.com/misc_download2.php
You will need to restart Firefox afterwards and will see that it has installed version 4.1.35, which Firefox says is the development channel. Then go to Dan's link and download version 3.3.2, installing it over the top of the one already there (you don't need to uninstall that one). You will again need to restart Firefox afterwards.

There are a few concerns about Last Pass which you might not know about: https://hackernoon.com/psa-lastpass-doe ... .nomukvkz8
