Two similar pages and incorrect auto-fill

Post by pedro22 »

I have two pages: https://site.com/nadmin/index.php and https://site.com/index.php - both have the same user name, but different password, built-in password manager sees both sites and different password - but automatically fills both the same password first given (login was remembered as the first) - if you can do something about it?

After you login to the first site clear the cache before you go to the other one.

The cache menu can be found via Tools ---> Options ---> Advanced and then click the Network tab. In the centre menu called Cached Web Content click the Clear Now button. If you can't see the Tools menu above the location bar, hit the ALT key.

In 2007 they decided not to fix it.
Bug 263387 - passwords should be stored for host+path and not just host

Maybe someone knows about a password extension that works in such a case.

Unfortunately, it does not work - I use private mode, but it should probably be irrelevant.

And if someone can re-apply?
