long time starting

Post by ron101 »

Firefox 52.0.2, win 7,SSD 450GB, 16 MEG RAM, use google and everything is all right, but in Firefox it takes aloooooooong time log on to pages, as much as 60 sec or more and changes pages takes for ever, select pages takes along time, log on to the bank takes ages Barclays. Ive got the latest browser, but Google run by the side of it is perfect. I had 650 MB before i took it out, cleaned everything (everything.exe) out of the PC and reloaded it again, but still no different. There's no add on on it. its brand spanking new untouched.
Any help any one??

Try creating a new profile to test whether or not it makes any difference: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Creating_a_ne ... on_Windows

Not clear on that response. Is the start up time reduced to an acceptable level with the new profile or not?

Well, as you had no extensions installed in the original profile, was there anything in the old profile that you require in the new? If not, you can simply go on as usual using the new profile.
