Error message when new Firefox update run.

Post by DalePaulA »

Every time a new update to Firefox is run I keep getting the error message seen below:

"The update could not be installed. Please make sure there are no other copies of Firefox running on your computer, and then restart Firefox to try again."

I end up having to delete the entire Mozilla Firefox program and starting from scratch . . ](*,) HELP!!!

Firefox stores its updates in a place like...

C:\Users\Dale\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\firefox\updates

Rename the \updates\ directory to \updates.NOT\
Restart FF, check for updates, & see if it updates successfully?

And while your there, explore... \updates.NOT\0\ & see if there is an "update.mar" hanging around in there?
Fire 750, bring back 250.
