How can I set Firefox timeout for slow internet connections?

Post by stanstent »

I can't get broadband & even worse my dialup b.width is down to about 30Kb/s. Firefox often times out waiting for resopnse even from fast sites like Google.

Please, how do I lengthen the timeout setting for Firefox?

Many thanks Stan.

1. Type about:config in the address bar as if it is a regular URL
2. Type timeout in the Filter field
3. The values of network.http.connect.timeout and network.http.request.timeout are in seconds. Make them larger to suit your connection.

Looks like the value name changed.

I try `network.http.connection-timeout` and `network.http.response.timeout`

what about `network.http.connection-retry-timeout` and `network.http.request.max-start-delay`?
