I am trying to get FF to work with UltraSurf or Psiphon. They are VPNs. They work successfully with SeaMonkey and Chrome browsers.
I don't understand why they are not working with FF.
I would sure appreciate some help.
Thanks

What do you mean not working?

When I check my IP address with FF, it does not change.malliz wrote:What do you mean not working?
When I check it with SeaMonkey and Chrome, it changes to another location.
Please try the VPNs with FF. They do not require installation or sign in as they are free and portable.

You have the latest extension ?
https://ultrasurf.us/support.htmlUltrasurf runs on Microsoft Windows. It supports Internet Explorer by default. You may also use Firefox (click here to download the Firefox add-on).

My paid vpn works fine with no extension needed.

I tried the extension on UltraSurf website, but Firefox prevented the installation calling it an "unverified addon".JayhawksRock wrote:You have the latest extension ?https://ultrasurf.us/support.htmlUltrasurf runs on Microsoft Windows. SeaMonkey and Chrome worked with the window version of UltraSurf and no extension.

ofc it MUST fail - content is from 2008, last edit from 2011. and it is not signed.I tried the extension on UltraSurf website, but Firefox prevented the installation calling it an "unverified addon".
at least all windows installed solution create a direct connection to vpn server and dont use the regular lan/wlan connection.with the window version of UltraSurf
loading u.zip from your given link offers an an exe file which points me out that i have to set my proxies settings to 127.0.0.1:9666 (default). hard to understand?
may work but that is not my understanding of a vpn connection.

Re: FF and UltraSurf or Psiphon VPN
I got it to work by changing the Network setting in FF to "Use System Proxy settings".
Thanks for everyone's effort to help me.
