Firefox 51 and 52, issues with html5 <audio>

Post by Sydensol »

Firefox 51 and 52 on windows 7/64, issues with html5 <audio>

To show this issues, stat FF, open new tab, paste and open this address:

http://stream.p4.no/p4_mp3_hq (or other radio stream address)

FF will show the html5 player, and stream the music.

open new tab, then close the player tab

paste the stream address to the empty tab and start

At this point FF do not connect to the stream address. You have to stop FF and restart to reset this issues.

Test with IE1, Chrome do not have this issues.

Any idea what cause this issues?

Confirmed, also is happening on latest 'test' Nightly build. No idea what's going on here.

Clearing history seems to defeat the no instant replay issue.
Tried a couple of things, simplest was to clear history, repeatable and done a couple of times.
Also tried going into advanced/network/cached web content - cleared and also offline web content, seemed unnecessary
Could be some thing left in the cache which notes individual play but guessing?

Clearing the cache seems to allow the site to play again without need for a restart.
