I suspect Fast Dial of causing me some issues, so I’m looking for an alternative. I’m okay with the basic setup of the generic newtab page, the only problem is the images are based on history, and I don’t save history. Also, some sites (like reddit) don't allow images to be generated and saved.
Fast Dial allows you to place custom images in each box (tile). An extension that does just that one thing is what I’m looking for. Most extensions I see are just for adding a background image - I'm not looking for that.
I don't use the "recently viewed" or "suggested" tiles. All my tiles are bookmarks.
I had some hope there might be a folder in the profile that contained those images, but I couldn’t find anything. Even if there was a folder, I assume any images I replaced in there would be written over.
Bonus: something that would keep working after 57.
