latest computer problem

Post by Sunkist123 »

I've been having numerous problems with this computer- desktop PC, Windows 7, newest version of Firefox.

Latest problem occurred when I logged in less than a half-hour ago: the 'restore session' brought up the windows I'd had open when I turned it off- a job board, a forum, and Hotmail.
Underneath the address bar was a gray lower-case letter i, and it said something like 'This network may require you to log into the internet.'
Internet was already on, but when I clicked the box on the right-hand top of the page where it said 'show log-in page,' an unusual address came up in the address bar and it had the name Firefox in it. The screen was white and it simply said 'success.'
Might somebody here know what this is about???

Also, on this site and various others, log in says information is not secure. The problem seems to be on my end, not on the sites. This particular problem has been going on since March, and I can't resolve it because I don't know what's causing it.
