Multiprocess Windows 0/1 (Disabled by accessibility tools)

Post by max2 »

What does this mean and this is with no addons installed a fresh Firefox 53.02

How do I fix it so Multirprocess is enabled ?

This does not happen with Firefox 55 Nightly.

currently there is no rule weather addons or not if e10s is enabled. you need to force multiprocess with prefs

try -> about:config -> toggle "extensions.e10sBlockedByAddons" to false (not verified)

Copying and pasting from ghacks.net :
" You may force-enable multi-process functionality in Firefox. I recommend that you backup your user profile before you do.

Type about:config in the browser's address bar and hit enter.
Right-click and select New > Boolean.
Name it browser.tabs.remote.force-enable.
Set its value to true.

Note that forcing compatibility may have a big impact on performance if add-ons are incompatible with e10s. "

I messed with all the configs posted around the internet and Firefox still said "Disabled by accessibility tools". Then I disabled "advanced, general, show a touch keyboard when necessary" Duh... it worked!

That's great ! Well done !

And thank you for letting us know - others, with the same problem, may benefit from it.

I am having the same issue - Where do I find "advanced, general, show a touch keyboard when necessary"

Might try going to about:config and set accessibility.force_disabled to a value of "1".

The Options/Preferences have changed and 'Advanced' is no longer in Options.

You can now find 'Show a touch keyboard when necessary' by typing in the address bar (one of the ways) :

'about:preferences#general' (without the quotation marks)

When you scroll way down to 'Browsing': that's where you'll find it.
