I have an old machine (single core athlon, old graphics card), running the embedded version of XP (a.k.a "POSREADY 2009", still supported with security upgrades).
Playing flash videos from FF is painful -- 100% CPU usage, constant stuttering, etc.
Yet, the same flash videos play fine from IE and from Chrome.
What gives?
Why is the flash plugin so slow on FF?

Re: Why is the flash plugin so slow on FF?
Three different versions of Flash are involved. IE uses the ActiveX version of Flash, Chrome uses the PPAPI version and Firefox uses the NPAPI version. Comparing performance between the different versions is problematic.
