Detaching Forward/Backward buttons from Location Bar?(Linux)

Post by P38Usul »

I've just updated my operating system to Kubuntu 16.04 and of course it automatically installed Firefox 53.0.2

There does not seem to be a way to detach the Forward and Backward buttons form the Location bar.
I have added Classic Theme Restorer and that does not help.

Is there no way to do this on this version?

Did you try the Firefox version from the Mozilla server since it looks you currently use the version from the Ubuntu repositories?

Did you check Movable Back and forward buttons on page one under General UI?
Did you get a notice that Firefox needed to be restarted, did you restart Firefox?

It seems to have self repaired, either that or all the button poking I have done has had some effect.
As time goes by more things seem to work like they are supposed to. Can it be updating itself?
Also some of the icons have changed.

This is weird

No real solid answer as to mysterious fixes, there are some self repair functions, but a number of the CTR functions require a close and re-open of Firefox.
