Extending HTTPS Timeout

Post by EricNepean »

How do I go about increasing the HTTPS Timeout? I'd like to (temporarily) make it very large.

I recently upgraded my NAS to a new version of firmware, and I am unable to access it, I get a message "The server at 172.16.7.110 is taking too long to respond"
The method of access is https://172.16.7.110/

There are some comments that this NAS runs very slowly with the new firmware, perhaps if I wait longer I will be able connect.

I've tried setting network.http.connection-timeout and network.http.response.timeout to 300,000, but that hasn't affected the time until timeout.

I have Firefox 53.0.3 running on OSX 10.11.6

Using several methods the actual url appears to be unavailable as it is a private address.
Also some of the services available on-line have similar "no access" conditions.
Doesn't matter what you say, it's wrong for a toaster to walk around the house and talk to you
