only three cookies?
In options/privacy/remove individual cookies, I only saw google, yahoo, and twitter. What happened to all others? Surely I can't have cookies from just three sites.

Re: only three cookies?
It depends. If you have "Cookies" checkmarked in the Settings menu for "Clear history when Firefox closes" then FF will do exactly that when you close it. All the boxes are checkmarked by default.
Do you have another profile? If so, do the following:
Do you have another profile? If so, do the following:
- 1. Close Firefox and then hit Windows key + R to launch the Run command.
2. Type: %appdata% and click OK.
3. Navigate to Mozilla ---> Firefox ---> Profiles.
4. Copy the cookies.sqlite file from a profile which doesn't have the problem.
5. Paste it into the one where the cookies are missing and choose to overwrite the existing file.
6. Restart Firefox and all the cookies which were present in the profile you copied from should now appear in the one where the problem was occurring.

Or maybe they are being cleared periodically by an external tool, e.g. CCleaner.

google depends on safe-list - yahoo and twitter on add-ons, RSS, maybe selected search engine. was your choice, not firefox.

Enable third-party cookies and visit some MSN or other pages with a lot of ads if you are desperate to see cookies

Re: only three cookies?
There have been many credible contributors to this forum that don't agree with that. Also, since I'm on a Mac I do not require something like CCCleaner. The Tinsmith wrote:

I see. So you use a MAC? Good for you. I am told that they are a good machine. The last one of those I have used was an Apple IIE. I think.
I do not offer advice or 'help' to people with other an OS installed. Even if 'some one else' said it. Let them say is my thinking.
You have a good weekend.
