problem is "readclient5 google.com"

Post by petergo »

hi

sorry to be a bother, but recently, and quite often, FF stalls, and I can see in the bottom left hand corner of my screen, it says "read client5 google com"

I am running FF ver 45.6.0 and win 10 pro

I use Avast and Malwarebytes, free versions, and run each weekend ESET for deep scan

may I kindly ask if there is a solution to this please
thanks, cheers

It's just a google tracker to show them where users are coming from. See: http://www.hypestat.com/info/client5.google.com

If yu want to block those kind of trackers install Privacy Badger: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... 17/?src=ss

It might be a little slow to begin with as it has to build up a database, but you can also move the sliders manually.

I checked 'about" and clicked on 'update'
I now have ver 45.9.0 ESR
