That was Brummelchen.
Doesn't matter what you say, it's wrong for a toaster to walk around the house and talk to you

no worry here, things happens
defender is here off my GPO and i am not sure if my LTSB would get the latest patch, LTSB is still 1607 for the next 3 years and get no feature updates, could be same for defender.

Hi,
Windows Defender will always create problem as and when new updates roll out. The best thing would be to disable Windows Defender by using Local Group Policy method or Registry Editor method mentioned on this website:

Re: Firefox slow to open after Windows Creator's Update
Thanks for all the feedback, and sorry for not updating sooner.
UPDATE:
MS has responded to my emails (finally) and this is what they have said:
" We are sorry to hear of the trouble you are having with your installed software. Please note that Microsoft does not support third party software and you will need to speak with the software creator to resolve this issue"
So much for getting things done on that end. On to a better discussion point:
1. Defender is a small part of the overall security "suite" installed during the creators updtate
2. Both the Firewall and Defender work off a new version of MS Endpoint Security
3. Defender is not able to be removed, is "part of" the OS now.
4. Even if a Third Party anti malware is installed, Defender is still used.
The only good workaround that I have found is to replace both firewall and defender with a top tier alternative. The best results that I have found is with AVAST Internet Security closely followed by Malwarebytes with Comodo Firewall.

My questions to MS and the MS Tech Net site have led to frustration and a total let down. It would seem that MS does not care to make Defender / Firewall a removable option. Looks like I will be moving over to Linux full time now.
CB.
