Microsoft stopped extended support of WinXP back in April 2014 and Vista was recently made EOL April 11, 2017. I know a lot of people like Windows 7 far better than Windows 10 or even 8.1 but sadly support ends Jan 2020.

Extended support ended on April 8, 2014, over 12 years since the release of XP; normally Microsoft products have a support life cycle of only 10 years

Microsoft went the extra mile with XP support and yet they are still at fault. My guess is some people are still unhappy that Win 95 is EOL
