Microsoft stopped extended support of WinXP back in April 2014 and Vista was recently made EOL April 11, 2017. I know a lot of people like Windows 7 far better than Windows 10 or even 8.1 but sadly support ends Jan 2020.Unhappy wrote:Thumbs down for Microsoft dumping XP. I recently acquired a some older HP laptop that is running Win 7 Pro, 64-bit, and I have the overall impression that it is a reincarnation of Windows Vista...which also, as far as I can tell, was one of Microsoft's flops.

Microsoft went the extra mile with XP support and yet they are still at fault. My guess is some people are still unhappy that Win 95 is EOLExtended support ended on April 8, 2014, over 12 years since the release of XP; normally Microsoft products have a support life cycle of only 10 years
