address bar autocompleting searches

Post by squares »

I am giving ff another try. 54.0.1. I am finding the address bar, when I type a search term in, autocompletes the term. I have "provide seach suggestions" not checked.

how can I get it to stop autocompleting what I type?

try changing pref > browser.urlbar.autocomplete.enabled > to false

And if using using CTR extension you may have to change > extensions.classicthemerestorer.altautocompl > to false

You can also check the browser.urlbar.autoFill prefs.
