hi
I am running FF ver 52.3.0 and win 10 pro.
Today, the appearance at the top of my screen has changed as have the position of the various bars at the top of the screen.
Now it is from top going down
Menu bar
Bookmarks bar
Search box and various commands bar
Tabs bar
also, now I forgot to mention, I am unable to move the tabs to different position e.g., I want to move the 5th tab to the 3rd tab position. Before I simply selected it with the mouse and moved the tab to where I wanted it to sit.
I would like my top part of the screen to be as before, that is from going down
Menu bar
Search and various command icons bar
Bookmark bar
Tab bar
what can I do please?
kindest thanks , cheers

My profile is as you want yours... and I think that that order is default. I just restarted in safe-mode and of course it hides those bars... so I left-clicked up there in the top area and activated the bars... they displayed fine.
So... you might want to at leaset restart in safe-mode, activate those bars to see what happens... if they look good and then restart in normal mode and they are out of order again... then I'd be looking around at your extensions as the problem... or at least one of them.

thank you for the reply
sorry, but in safe mode, you said you left clicked "up there" and activated the bars.
I tried left clicking all over the place 'up there' but saw no way to activate any bars
thnx, cheers

hey again
ok, the right click worked, but still not in the order I wanted
do you think if I restore an earlier Mozbackup of FF, that might fix the problem?
thanks again, cheers

hi Catguy or girl
I restored a FF version from Mozbackup from about a month ago, but the problem is still there
I'll have to learn to live with it, as it's a painful exercise going through all the extensions to find which one MAY be cxausing the problem
thnks for your time
all the best
peter
ps.. I'm a dog kinda guy, but like cats too

I'm Cat-guy... the cat... wellll...she's a normal (her ---> I'm the queen around here) cat.
You might think about taking a look at your extensions and see if one or more of them updated around the time this started...
BUT ... if you started in safe-mode and they were still not in the normal order... I don't know the cause... because safe-mode would have disabled all extensions.
