FF.55 ~ Establishing "unauthorized" connections on startup
This question seems to having been asked a few times but I couldn't find an explanation for this,
nor how to prevent these.
I also would like to know what "routit.net" is for...
firefox.exe 3904 TCP afr.fritz.box 49743
a2-16-100-114.deploy.akamaitechnologies.com http ESTABLISHED 1 460 1 913
firefox.exe 3904 TCP afr.fritz.box 49733
a2-16-106-226.deploy.akamaitechnologies.com http ESTABLISHED
firefox.exe 5016 TCP afr.fritz.box 49855
rt235bb144-213-202.routit.net https ESTABLISHED 3 961 3 1.969
What is going on here?
And even if not harmful. How do I gain control over these connections?
nor how to prevent these.

Are you running a Fritz router box and have you signed up for their service?

Doesn't matter what you say, it's wrong for a toaster to walk around the house and talk to you

the fritzbox is running on its default settings, i have yet to set it up.Grumpus wrote:Are you running a Fritz router box and have you signed up for their service?

The connections only appear with firefox, not with chrome or any other browser.

Funny, I block akamaitechnologies.com at our firewall. I wonder if this explains some of the weirdness I get from time to time.

Re: FF.55 ~ Establishing "unauthorized" connections on start
The browser fetches the blocklists from google and mozilla at startup. This even happens if you do not use safebrowsing.
Set browser.safebrowsing.debug to true in about:config. Then you see what is going on.

If you enable the pref you can see some debug output from the listmanager in the browser console e.g.

What you show there is the Web Console. The Browser Console is a different, although similar, thing. To open it, select "Browser Console" from the Developer Tools menu (or submenu).Systm wrote: See here:console is empty:
