What happens in Safe Mode ?
Firefox Menu Button > Help Menu (or Help) > Troubleshooting Information > Try Safe Mode/Restart with Add-Ons disabled ....Do NOT click on Refresh Firefox.

Starting it in safe mode made them reappear.
