FF 54 Ubuntu 14.04 — Bookmarks Toolbar ends up on top?

FF 54 Ubuntu 14.04 — Bookmarks Toolbar ends up on top?

For some reason, when I open Firefox 54 in Ubuntu 14.04.5, I get my Toolbars out of order, particularly the Bookmarks Toolbar ends up on top of the Navigation Toolbar.

I thought maybe there was a problem with the Tabs on Bottom extension, but even after I disabled it, the Bookmarks Toolbar is still on top of the Navigation Toolbar.

Is this a bug? What can I do to fix this?

Right click on the menu toolbar and open customize.
You should see a dotted line around each of the tool bars and you can drag them to position you want.
If that does not work you can install Classic Theme Restorer and there are controls there and in opening customize as before try the drag and drop.
It's not a bug.
Classic Theme restorer will also allow the moving of the Tab Bar, functional in latest 55.0.2 Firefox for Ubuntu.
Doesn't matter what you say, it's wrong for a toaster to walk around the house and talk to you

When I went to Customize, the toolbars appeared in the correct position. When exited Customize, the Bookmarks Toolbar righted itself, without my having touched it!

But it only did the one window that I customized. So I fixed the other windows, one at a time.

However when I rebooted, all the windows returned to Bookmarks Toolbar on top! This is not expected behavior.

If you open Firefox in safe mode are the toolbars in the default position?
It may very well be one or a couple of your extensions is causing the issue.
My 14.04.5 does not have this problem with or without extensions.
You should also have updated Firefox through your repository for 14.04.5.
Your comment of using sudo/apt/command to block apt in another thread would not work or be necessary if automatic updates for the Ubuntu systems was set to manual.
It does not apply to the original posters condition as they are using Windows which does not use apt.
