What Linux OS are you using?
Did the update come from the repository for your Linux operating system?

The Linux Mint 14 repositories have the latest update, why are you using the upstream?
If you try the Firefox default theme does everything still appear properly?

Firefox has been themed by GTK3 themes ever since Firefox 46.0 so if it looks unthemed then either a GTK2 theme is in use or the Firefox build from Mint may be broken or not built properly?.

The version of Linux Mint 14 in the repositories has the GTK2 support but I do not know if the upstream is using it.
What radio or radio extension are you using?
If not necessary it might be wise to switch to the Linux Mint 14 repositories for updates but this is just a suggestion.

I have in repository GTK 3.6 installed. Minimum for firefox 55 is 3.4. No extension for radio button I do not use.

Misunderstanding - The Firefox version from the regular Linux Mint repository has the gtk2 support.
It should show up in either your local directory /home/username/mozilla folders or in /usr/lib/firefox or /usr/lib/firefox-add-ons folders.
What radio or service is installed?

You do know a radio button is just a round checkbox? I mean, you know that, right?

Makes me out to be dumber than normal on the radio button but the rest of it holds water.
