Hot to disable cashing of crash reports

Post by c627627 »

I have numerous Profiles that are backed up for archival purposes and I notice that some of them retained multiple "unsent" crash reports about which they inform you every time I copy/paste them and start them. I do know how to delete individual crash reports but how can I disable cashing of unsent crash reports as a feature and a separate question: how can crash reports be disabled all together?
Thank you.

I don't know how to stop them, but I remove them from the "Crashes" folder in my profiles, when I go in to toss some other junk too.

Apparently you have to manually edit file application.ini, for the example of 32-Bit Firefox:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\application.ini

And change Enabled=1 to Enabled=0 so that it reads:

[Crash Reporter]
Enabled=0

But that affects all profiles.
How can this setting be changed for an individual profile and not all profiles?

EDIT, found it:
browser.crashReports.unsubmittedCheck.enabled
needs to be set to false

Great. We need a junk tosser for profiles, the way Disk Cleanup throws out various kinds of junk from the HD at once. I wonder if there's an extension for that.
