Dears, the situation is that, we use the 45.9.0ESR version and cause 45version is not updated from April this year, so we need to update our Firefox version to 52.3.0ESR.
But the problem is: for some users who don't have an Internet account when the proxy authentication prompts input username and password, they can just click the cancel button, but this authentication window prompts about 6 times and then stops prompt. But for the 45.9version, it just came up once.
Could you tell me why this window comes up so many times and how to fix it?
Firefox 52.3.0(32-bit)ESR prompt proxy authentication repeat

Do you use Master Passwords?
(Situation in this llooonngg oolldd thread sounds a bit different, https://api-dev.bugzilla.mozilla.org/sh ... 77175#c316?
[My keyboard was sticking for a moment there.]
Also if it were that bug, you'd expect to see it in FF 45 too.)
Any change if you restart in Safe Mode?
