Firefox 56 slowing download speed

I've just instlled FF v.56 and my broadband speed has dropped from 3.4mbps to 1.9mbps using the BTW speed test. Logging out of FF and re running the speed test from IE my speeds are back to 3.4mbps.

Recovering my system back to FF v.55 my speed is back to normal, can anyone advise what's happening with v.56 to have this effect??

What Anti Virus and or Security program are you running?

Any change if you restart FF (56) in Safe Mode?
