Theoretically but I would remove ABP; you can always reinstall.

I do not have a check mark next to disabled and I still see ads on that page.
Check your filters / exceptions...

In my case, I did nothing but install ABP, then used whatever filters it uses by default.
Then I globally enabled / disabled ABP, noting the differences.
Fire 750, bring back 250.

AdBlock Plus finally updated and migrated to Webextensions - not everybody gets updated at the same time, though.

This AdBlock Plus Webextension (so far) works just fine.

I have to agree that uBlock Origin has some advantages, but it's not so easy to work with (but that's just my personal opinion)
