Embedded images not displaying

Post by terrypin »

I open an email in my offline email program, Forte's Agent, and then launch its HTML version. But as you see, the images embedded in it do not display. Yet no problem arises when I open the email directly on my iPad.

Does the same thing occur if you launch the application in Mozilla Safe Mode? http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode

Does cid: map over to some sort of URL-like protocol on your end?

Thanks both. I posted a similar query to the Agent forum and it appears that the problem is down to Agent. Here's the verbatim reply from an Agent expert.

"Launching the HTML via Index passes the HTML to the browser without the embedded images. There is no way to launch via Index and include embedded images in the HTML for the browser.

To launch with embedded images, follow the instructions in this
message:

I've filed those steps for future use, although frankly it's unlikely I'll ever bother. Seems too complicated just to view very occasional images which I can see on my ipad anyway. Life's too short...
