Long ago, I made my personal start screen, without all that stuff I never use. It always worked fine.
With the recent update to Firefox 57.0.2 (Dutch localised), this setting disappeared, and I had to specify the desired page again. But now this only works for the first screen shown after starting Firefox.
QUESTION: How do I set the standard page for new screens opened when Firefox is already running?
SUGGESTION: In the next version, please make this setting (i.e. standard layout for NEW pages) specifiable in the same screen as for the start screen, i.e., in the Dutch localized version: menu Extra, Opties; scroll down to Startpagina (in English probaby something like menu Options, Options, Start page or so). There already is the setting for the general (first) start page. Just add a new setting for the start image of new tab pages.
How to set local page as a start page for any new screen?

Hello HHahn,
Would you see if this add-on will do what you want :
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefo ... -override/

A new window will open your homepage, which you can specify in the Options. It sounds like you want a custom page on each new tab. That request was rejected in bug 1178779.
Here's how to have a local page on a new tab, without an add-on:
