Recently FF (latest version) informed me that it can't find this http://www.xn--l-mga.com address (maybe once per year I get that or other xn-- address) and of course it doesn't find since that address doesn't exist and I typed address right (length of address doesn't matter) and after all these years of getting that error haven't figured what causes it (not a malware or mistyped address).

Edit: Address-bar had right address but still FF tried to goto that weird address.

What is the correct address? xn--l-mga appears to be punycode for ïl but that domain doesn't exist.

If you set network.IDN_show_punycode to true in about:config, then you get punycode for internationalized domain names. If it's at the default value of false, then you get the actual domain name, e.g. http://はじめよう.みんな

Explanation of what punycode is in case you don't understand what Gingerbread Man is talking about: https://www.ghacks.net/2017/04/17/punyc ... -veterans/

Puny IDN is set to false and correct site this time (which I typed didn't follow link) was local newssite and before it has been discussion forum (typed address not followed link but then address bar had punycode address).

FF latest has 2 punys, IDN and punycode-host (which is set true) while FF ESR has only IDN.

Reflective: Yea but if site linked is f.e. Apple (don't own any Apple's products so no AppleID etc) then I type address to address bar rather than use given link.
