Tab Focus

Post by AndrewAM »

Upgraded to FF57, made sure "When you open a link in a new tab, switch to it immediately" is unchecked. It works as expected when I click a link in FF, and the current tab stays focused.

But if I click a link from another program, email client for example, Firefox now takes focus from the email client and displays the new opened tab. This was something I probably arranged to my liking using Tab Mix Plus, which is no longer an option. This is particularly irritating in Windows 10 since I have FF opened in a different desktop than the email program, so I have to either click or type to get back.

How can I get FF to stop taking focus when I open a link in another program?

Thanks.
