Firefox does not remember the home page more than once.

What security software are you running on that system?
Do you run Ccleaner or any other clean up utilities on that computer?

Re: home page issues
Ccleaner has been reported to cause problems with Firefox by deleting elements of the profile needed for Firefox to run properly or by preventing Firefox from storing changes to settings. That could be an issue here. Check the settings in Ccleaner and make sure that it is not set to touch anything relating to Firefox.
Avast has a number of component, including (if memory serves) browser clean up utilities. Make sure those are also set to leave Firefox strictly alone.

Re: home page issues
Dan,
Appreciate the feedback. I've been poking at it. Can't seem to find any references in C Cleaner or Avast. Just guessing where to look in those programs.
Thanks

Re Avast -- Launch the Avast interface, click on the Gear icon for Settings->click on "Components"->"Browser Cleanup"->Disable that function or uninstall the component.

What does the Home page open to, the second time?
Fire 750, bring back 250.
