Type to search invokes regular search bar
Anyone know how to make the regular search bar appear instead of the quick search bar when you "search for text when you start typing."? Thanks.

Type a character in a non-text entry area the quick search pops up.
Use the menu bar and use /edit/find a different bar shows in the same location but with more controls.
If I understand you want to change this to the full search bar when you type a character or word in a non-text area?

Doesn't matter what you say, it's wrong for a toaster to walk around the house and talk to you

@Grumpus Yes, I want the full search bar, with all the controls, to appear when I type a character or word in a non-text area. I think the quickfind bar is completely useless. What is the point in having 2 different find bars? The full find bar should always appear regardless of how or when I initiate a find...

Maybe you could ask Mozilla why? Mozilla Support
. . . or maybe one of the folks who write code for the userchrome.css file can help?
