One speed improvement is to turn on tracking protection - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/tr ... protection That is pretty similar to what Ublock Origin can do also, one or the other or both is fine.

Also, only if something is trying to mess with your Firefox, you can prevent that and speed up firefox by turning off accessibility - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/ac ... y-services

uBlock Origina makes Firefox faster by blocking ads.
How does DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials make Firefox faster and is that an extension that was released after Quantum was out... was there even DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials for pre-Quantum Firefox?
Open the pod bay doors, Cortana.

But is there a way to make it even faster?
define "faster"
- faster startup?
- faster loading with filtering content? (already answered)
- faster display? depends on hardware
- faster in ???

any active antivirus makes firefox slower, any installed extension makes firefox slower, any modification in prefs (about:config) can make firefox slower, or faster.

Dial-up connection ==> Slow FF
Gigabit connection ==> Fast FF

FF needs data to render or it just sits there in memory doing nothing.
