Regular update or patch to Mozilla

Post by rrkjaiswal63 »

Hi, For last few years firefox is loosing in front of chrome in perspective of performance. Second, there is frustrating regular update and slow start of firefox is making common user crazy. Why can't launch light weight firefox which run faster.

Moving to Firefox Support.

What version of Firefox are you using now? Newer versions have better performance than obsolete versions.

Have you tried starting Firefox in Mozilla Safe Mode? http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode
If no improvement using Safe Mode, do you have the same problem if you create a new profile and test it with no extensions or non-default themes installed?

You could switch to the 64bit version if you wish and you could download the full installer for that from http://download-origin.cdn.mozilla.net/ ... 0.1/win64/

Before doing so, see the other two questions in my previous post.

Or get current Win64 Firefox Release (61.0.1) at https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/

failed update?

- close firefox
- open: %LOCALAPPDATA%\Mozilla\updates <-- delete complete folder.
- download from location James gave you and start full installation.

any antivirus installed which prohibit update?

BTW
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/67.0.3396.99 Safari/537.36
are you faking user agent?

PS i dont, this is chromium but i dont have issues with my fox.
