dailymotion has never worked?

I don't recall that I have ever been able to view/play any videos at Dailymotion.com using firefox.

I get a grey screen where the video belongs.

What am I doing wrong? Is there an app for this?

Works here with no problems.
Do you have Flash disabled under menu path Tools->Addons->Plugins?
What version of Flash Player do you have installed?

It may be using HTML5 player and not the Flash player Plugin to play videos.

Do you fully support HTML5 on https://www.youtube.com/html5/ ? as all check marks should be blue.

edit: Based on your location you likely do not have N edition of Windows.
