Why doesn't the Akamai Adaptive Media Player which is used for some Fox News videos work on Firefox?
Try this URL.

It works on Edge but not Firefox.

Works fine here. Try disabling Adblock/uBlock.

Moving to Firefox Support as no bug has been identified here.

It is turned off for Fox News. I get a blank white space where the video should be.

My only add ons are Adblock Plus, Clippings, Dashlane, and Forecastfox. I would think that only Adblock could cause a problem but it is off.

What is strange is I started playing with the performance settings by checking and unchecking and refreshing the page and it did not seem to help so I went back the the initial setting (use recommended settings). All of a sudden the video started to play. I refreshed the page and it would not play again. I played with performance settings again and it would still not play again.

Works for me with FF61.0.1. Try safe mode by restarting FF using Help > Restart with Add-ons disabled...

.
FF 64.0.2 - FF 65b11 - FF 66a - TB 60.4 - Mac OSX 10.13.6
Computers I've used: IBM 7094/UNIVAC 1108/IBM 360/DEC PDP11/DEC VAX-11 780/DEC VAXstation 8000/Sun SPARCstation 2/Mac from 1984 to 2019

I restarted in safe mode and it worked. I then restarted with the add-ons enabled and it still worked. Something must have been triggered.

A better choice than Adblock Plus is uBlock Origin.
