This recently started. As soon as I start typing something in the Google search box, a list of suggestions appears. Tried various suggestions in the options. I don't log in to Google and don't want to. I'm not talking about the search box in the toolbar.

I think that one you're after is complete=0 (add &complete=0 to your Google search bookmark url) ...but, if you really want a quiet Google search then use it with javascript disabled.

Ben.
XUL is dead. Long live the Google Chrome Clones.

OK, I wound up using http://www.google.com/webhp?complete=0&hl=en and all the suggestions are gone.
I think I had used that before but somehow got away from it. Thanks
