No Mailto in Firefox 61?

Set up Firefox 61 in Windows 7 and noticed that in Options/Applications the Mailto is no longer exist. Does anyone know why it was dropped? Is there a compatible addon/extension for Gmail that would do the job.

I think we have a misunderstanding. Can you please re-read my question and make sure that you are referring to the Firefox version mentioned and its /Options/Applications. Without specifying the App in Options, your suggested solution opens the file explorer and is looking for a local email client like Thunderbird.
