I would like my "new tap" to open to my choice.
My understanding is that Firefox tracks my browsing history and makes "suggestions" as to what I might want to see when ever I click open a new tab.
What I am asking is
1. how do make it so that I can open a new tab in a page of my own choosing?
2. How do I stop Firefox from tracking my browsing history, not even to track it and store it on my computer (or anywhere) and never use that data?

A mind is a terrible thing to waste. Mine has wandered off and I'm out looking for it.
