This is nothing to do with tin foil hats.
This has to do with whether an application respects its users or not.
And by installing things that a user has not asked for, given consent to is not right.
Mozilla does this for their purposes - presumably for the betterment.
But that still does not change what they have done.
And obviously this is not in the same category as this "amazonaws" malware, but because it is done for "betterment" because there may be no malicious intent, does not make it right.
