I would have tried to set up an account to see if it was something cross platform but they want a phone number to register.
Doesn't matter what you say, it's wrong for a toaster to walk around the house and talk to you

Hi Grumps,
Thank you for at least....trying.
All they need is a mobile #.
Doesn't matter where from. AFAIK.

Re: Firefox v61 & v62 not asking to save passwords etc...
Phone numbers are a funny thing these days. I walked out of the house, got in the car with my ancient flip phone on and somehow Xfinity sent a text (I don't text) trying to get me to open a Gateway. I only turn this phone on maybe once a week because with being on the do not call list on my two numbers there's still too many calls daily, most frauds.
I'm almost wondering if the site managers aren't doing a little extra data gathering.
Good luck.

Hi y'awll,
You will be pleased to know that it was partly theirs (The new site's code), & the way that the new Firefox' handle things.
They modified their code accordingly & both versions now do their things correctly & "Ask...." & "Save....." my details.
"atlanto" was right on the subject. AFAIK.

It took quite a while, but thanks to eL Grumps for his assistance & all who posted their great suggestions & ideas.
Ta muchly.
I hope that this will help others who strike the same problem.

I should note, that we had to convert the button to “submit” and prevent the default behaviour of that button in order to control the ajax calls and login. Hopefully this has also resolved it for you – again, Chrome etc seem fine simply detecting password fields on a form within a secure page, FF 62.0 requires a submit to trigger the remember password prompt!
We implemented the ajax call to provide better response and functionality / messaging etc, so at least now this activates the password prompt feature again.
