Good morning,
I have a real problem which has started only today,
anything that I try takes a very long time.
I cleared the cache which had 310 MB in it,
I have an HP Desktop with AMD A-6 5200 APU (quad core) 2.00 GHz
Installed Memory 8 Gb
Never before has my machine gone so slow, short of a component
breaking down, I suspect FireFox as somebody in a forum stated
the same thing last week.
Is there anyway to fix this?
Thank you.
Mike.

Slowness is special, not general. Tried Safe-Mode or fresh profile? Which antivirus?

Have you tried starting Firefox in Mozilla Safe Mode? http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode
If no improvement using Safe Mode, do you have the same problem if you create a new profile and test it with no extensions or non-default themes installed?

Re: FireFox 62 Very Slow
I re-booted the PC, ran Malwarebytes after Rkll, no problem found!
Switched off the PC for several hours and when I switched back on
no slowness anymore, strange.
Thank you for taking the time to read my question and to answer it.

Maybe some windows update interfering. Reboot is mandatory from time to time in uefi mode.
