Hey Folks! Switched to Firefox Quantum ESR v60.
Oddly enough, the default theme is showing as a "Legacy" extension. The light and dark themes can be chosen, but not the Default theme.
I changed the pref to enable "legacy" extensions (I didn't even though I could still do that on release versions). Now the theme will run, but I found it odd that the theme is still marked as "Legacy"
I'm running Quantum ESR 60.2.0 on Windows 8 Pro x64. I will try in Safe Mode right now - that just occured to me.
EDIT => Hmmm - still marked as "legacy" with Add-Ons as "disabled"

Re: Default Theme Shows as "Legacy" in Quantum ESR
Though this is not likely, did you modify extensions.legacy.exceptions ?
Default value is
If "{972ce4c6-7e08-4474-a285-3208198ce6fd}" is lost, Default theme appears in Legacy Extensions category on about:addons.
(but it is working even in this case...)
(inspected on 60.2.0esr/Windows10)
Default value is
Code: Select all
{972ce4c6-7e08-4474-a285-3208198ce6fd},testpilot@cliqz.com,@testpilot-containers,jid1-NeEaf3sAHdKHPA@jetpack,@activity-streams,pulse@mozilla.com,@testpilot-addon,@min-vid,tabcentertest1@mozilla.com,snoozetabs@mozilla.com,speaktome@mozilla.com,hoverpad@mozilla.com
(but it is working even in this case...)

Re: Default Theme Shows as "Legacy" in Quantum ESR
No I did not. I ended up fixing it by deleting the theme XPI file in [profile]\extensions, then the theme choices went away. I then reinstalled v60 ESR over top, and now it works 9without a legacy notation).
Wish I had more of a solution for those that may encounter this, since I'm not REALLY sure what I did actually fixed the issue.

By the way, is there is "marked as fixed" type of button to press on this thread?

Mp there isn't a way to mark a thread as fixed, although the OP can edit the Title of the thread and add FIXED, SOLVED, or RESOLVED as with this thread.
