Hi, I'm experiencing problem with FF starting version 59 with silent print turned on (about:config - print.always_print_silent - true) on Linux (Ubuntu, Xubuntu).
When silent print is turned on, and Ctrl+P is pressed, FF just pops print error dialog box and nothing happens, the same is when printing from menu.
Since FF59 silent_print on Linux doesn't work

I've never seen this option in Ubuntu Firefox - Is it an extension?
Could it be something in your default printer which is not covered in the foomatic drivers?
Have you ever tried to remove and re-install the printer this worked for?

It is known issue.
