Installed Firefox 62 yesterday, running much more stable than the last time I tried Quantum. Everything going smoothly until this morning when I read my comic strips online (better than buying a newspaper!). All the other browsers I've used - Chrome, IE, Edge, SeaMonkey - work properly when clicking the "Zoom" feature on a strip at the Comics Kingdom website, but Fox hasn't in quite a while... at least not out of the box, which is how I use it.
For example: the link to Beetle Bailey is http://comicskingdom.com/beetle-bailey-1/
If you mouse over the strip, you get a Zoom option, and in all other browsers, clicking results in a larger image, which can be right-clicked and saved as a GIF (or a PNG in Edge). In Firefox, clicking the "Zoom" does absolutely nothing. Is there a setting or extension that will get this to work? It appears to just be JavaScript enabling the zoom, but I haven't figured out what's not working.

Works here as you describe.
Does the same thing occur if you launch the application in Mozilla Safe Mode? http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode

The Zoom works in Safe Mode, but not in normal mode. The only extension I have is my anti-virus (Kaspersky) which self-installs. I don't have anything other extensions. The only plug-ins are the default OpenH264 video codec and Google Widevine Decryption, which also self-install. If I disable Kaspersky, I still get the same failure in normal mode. That's what's baffling me. There's something in normal mode I can't see that seems to be causing this.

I was noticing this in my Firefox Nightly 64.0a1.
Restarted in Safe Mode as Dan suggested and it worked. Quit and restarted in normal mode and the zoom works now. Strange.

MidniteEagl, try disabling hardware acceleration. Menu path Tools->Options->scroll down to the "Performance" section and uncheck that option. Shut down and restart in normal mode.

Hardware acceleration setting didn't change it It seems like something needs to be updated (possibly with Javascript) but isn't happening. Very strange.

Do you have 'Tracking Protection' enabled ? It might be 'Content Blocking' they are renaming 'tracking protection', not sure if it is in 62 yet as I use Nighly builds.MdniteEagl wrote:Installed Firefox 62 yesterday, running much more stable than the last time I tried Quantum. I had to turn 'off' tracking protection for that site to get the 'zoom' to work.

That did it - thank you much! That also solved another issue... sites that use Wordpress for their blog comments (example - Pro Football Talk at NBCSports.com)... the like/dislike buttons and counters weren't showing - with Tracking Protection off, now they do.
